Dear Pizza Loving Neighbors,
Firstly, have you eaten at Paulie Gee’s in Greenpoint yet? If not, shame on you. If yes, were you there on Halloween? If you were then you witnessed the amazing scene pictured above: all of the staff dressed up like their beloved Paulie Gee in his signature baseball cap, glasses, and plaid shirt. It was kind of amazing. My only complaint is that none of them were as chatty as the real man. Photo courtesy of Paulie Gee himself.
Go eat some pizza gang.

PS New life goal: Convince Paulie Gee to teach me how to make pizza.
Hey Neighbors,
I really want to go to this, I love ball shaped foods, but I don’t know if I will be in town. You should go and let me know how it is!

Dear Waitress,
I think these was some confusion and you might have intercepted some glances and hand gestures that were not meant for you. What happened is this: My friend and I were debating about whether or not a man on a very awkward date with a girl in a very unbecoming dress was looking at me (a female) of my friend (a male). It was obvious he kept glancing over at us, but because we were seated next to each other we couldn’t be sure who he was making eye contact with. so we decided to raise the stakes by miming some graphic sex acts with our hands at this man when you walked up to us and sort of froze. I just want to specify that those images were not meant for you, but for the complete stranger trying to enjoy a simple pizza dinner with a girl who really shouldn’t be allowed to pick out her own clothing.
Thanks for the Bacon Marmalade pizza, it was AMAZING!!!

PS I’m also sorry for lighting things on fire.
Dear Paulie Gee’s,
I love your secret note stash. Sometimes they are amazing!

Dear Neighbors,
This will probably be the last time I eat the Bacon Marmalade pizza from Paulie Gee’s, which is one of the best things I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. It is the perfect combination of cheesy-breaded-sweet-meatiness. Unfortunately the genius who makes it is being a complete dick and moving to Spain to have a fabulous life or something. Oh well.
You will be missed bacon marmalade!

Dear Paulie Gee,
I would like to start of by saying how much I love your pizza, it is fantastic and so close to home that I am almost tempted to eat it EVERY DAY! I would like to note that the service is slightly lacking, probably due to the fact that hipsters don’t make good waiters. And lastly, I thoroughly enjoy when you walk around and chat up customers to create a uniquely personalized experience, but I think you should work on your small talk. Last time I was there, you implied that I am a patient woman to put up with my date’s sense of humor, which while true, was kind of ridiculous. I wonder if you’ll remember that conversation?
Mmmmm Pizza,
